Statement of Qualifications;


Suzanne provides service in communications, policy research, and analysis in the environmental and energy fields. She has experience in public policy and communications on topics related to environmental quality, regulations, and law, and a strong interdisciplinary background working at the intersection of natural science, social science, and the humanities. She has a Bachelor of Arts in English & Environmental Studies from Wake Forest University, and a Masters in Environmental Management, Economics, and Policy from Duke University.


Expertise Includes Diverse Offerings in Environmental and Clean Energy Policy:

  • Preparing written communications and presentations on technical, legal, and policy issues, particularly as related to climate change, air quality, and renewable energy technologies

  • Providing technical data support for regulatory and policy assessment

  • Performing data analysis, modeling, interpretation around environmental enhancement, climate change mitigation and resilience, and socioeconomic policy impacts

  • Managing diverse projects and monitoring progress and performance

  • Serving as a liaison between policymakers, scientists, industry/business, environmental groups, and the general public

Current and past projects include;

  • Research, data preparation, and analysis surrounding U.S. energy markets, policy, decarbonization, and clean energy progress in the Southeast

  • Team and project management producing a study and catalogue of resilience and adaptation policy in North Carolina

  • Modeling clean energy scenarios and economic, sectoral, and air quality implications under Governor Cooper's Executive Order 80

  • Work with an environmental organization on regulatory improvements and public environmental education in North Carolina

  • Work with an environmental organization to produce public communications and facilitate stakeholder collaboration and discussion around climate and energy

  • Work with a government agency to improve program efficacy around environmental justice and public health concerns
